How to use it

1. Download the Excel file (button above)
2. Open in Excel, Apple Numbers, or Google Sheets
3. Edit the event title, date, and team names in place
4. Enter each team's round scores between rounds
5. Watch totals, ranks, and gold/silver/bronze highlights update live
6. Project or print for live score reveals between rounds

Frequently asked questions

Does this work on a Mac?

Yes. Works in Microsoft Excel for Mac, Apple Numbers, and Google Sheets. All formulas, conditional formatting, and data validation render correctly across all three.

Can I customize it (add my logo, change colors)?

Yes. The file is a plain .xlsx with no protections or macros. Click cells to edit. The merged cell in the top-left has a sticky note explaining where to insert your venue's logo.

What if I have more than 10 teams?

Copy any team row (right-click row number → Copy) and Insert Copied Cells below row 15. The RANK formula range will need a quick update to include the new rows — open the formula bar on any RANK cell and adjust the range from $G$6:$G$15 to match your new bottom row.

Why are some columns 18pt font?

So you can read team names, totals, and rankings from across the room when you project the file on a TV between rounds. Smaller fonts work for desktop review but get lost on a 50-inch TV from 25 feet away.

Will this work for online / virtual trivia nights?
